The Coronado Ferry Landing

Coronado Ferry Landing

A summer afternoon at the Coronado Ferry Landing in San Diego gives you a view across the sparkling bay to downtown San Diego. The white accordion roofs top the Convention Center, site of Comic Con hoopla. The Ferry Landing itself is filled with restaurants, shops, bicyclers, and beach enthusiasts. You can enjoy a seafood dinner at Peohe’s or opt for a casual dining experience at Mexican food restaurants. Of course, there’s ice cream and candy if you’re feeling like a sweet treat.

There really is a ferry attached to the Coronado Ferry Landing. What it lacks in size it makes up for in character. You can ride this ferry from downtown, San Diego across the bay to Coronado. Or drive across the bridge and park at the lot at the Ferry Landing if you prefer.

Kayaks crisscross the bay. Some move by pedal power and some require old-fashioned rowing.

Ah, Coronado – such a relaxing area. Everything breathes vacation:) We stayed there are some little cabins on the water side a very long time ago. Not for nothing is San Diego the 4th most visited city in the USA! Thank you for bringing back great memories this post for SEASONS!

That looks my sort of place. What a lovely sunny day you chose. We have a similar ferry nearby landing but without the skyscrapers.

I want to visit San Diego some day, and would actually like to see a Comic-Con there. Your photos are really pretty, you captured the city via seaside so well.
