In your ocean, I’m ankle deep
I feel the waves crashin’ on my feet.
Just how much air I will need to breathe
When your tide rushes over me
There’s only one way to figure out.
Will ya let me drown, will ya let me drown.
‘Cause I am down on my knees, I’m waiting for something beautiful
Oh, something beautiful.
— Need to Breathe
“Something Beautiful” is this week’s song for Song-ography. It speaks of the ocean, and waves, and tides, and fear, and love.
The ocean is a wonder. The cliffs above the Pacific Ocean, near where I live, are honeycombed and so fragile. Warning signs are posted so you don’t fall and drown.
Love doesn’t come with warning signs, but it can be fragile. You can fall. You can get hurt. When you move through the fear and drown in love, though, you find something beautiful. Even more beautiful than the ocean at sunset.
Wishing you a week with oh, something beautiful in your life!
Linking up with a song-inspired party, Song-ography, where the theme this week is “Something Beautiful” by Need to Breathe.

Lovely collection of pictures! Love your connection here.
I am amaaaaaazed by the glass-like appearance of both the ocean AND the sand when there is a glaze of water over it in your photos. So stunning! And def “something beautiful”. Thanks for joining in on Song-ography.
Lovely photos!
What beautiful photos, and what beautiful thoughts! Really enjoyed your post!
How wonderful it must be to live so close to this divine scenery. It is truly beautiful.
Loved your words as well about love and just letting go.
Gorgeous, Georgeous. I love the rock formations contrasted with the blue water!
another ocean dweller! I’m not sure where you live, but I live near Pismo Beach in San Luis Obispo County. Your ocean shots are stunning! I want to leave my footprints on that bare strip of sand.
What a sweet and lovely post. I so wish I lived close to the ocean.
