This week’s song for Song-ography is “Forever Autumn” by the Moody Blues. The lyrics hold the poignancy of love and loss, as the trees turn from green to oranges, reds, and yellows. And finally stand bare and alone. I like this song (which I didn’t know before this week) because it captures the essence of autumn. The beauty today means loss is coming soon. We may want to stay forever in this season before the leaves flutter to the ground. But really, it can’t be done. Time moves on. The hope comes in knowing that after winter comes spring. And there’s no changing that, either.
Wishing you a lovely autumn week, filled with beauty and love.
Linking up with a song-inspired party, Song-ography, where the theme this week is “Forever Autumn” by the Moody Blues.
