A summer evening concert in the park on the island of Coronado. The Navy Show Band entertains with big band tunes. A cool breeze blows off the ocean that is just blocks away. People come with their camp chairs, blankets, and coolers of food. And they dance!
You see cartwheels and ballet.
Even the tiniest tyke can lead the conga line.
The band plays the final number. The music winds ups as the sun sets.
We head home with refreshed and happy hearts.
How about you? Where have you seen joy this season?

Great series of photographs of a fun evening!
I love Coronado! We were hoping to vacation in Laguna Niguel like we did last summer, and spend time in LaJolla and San Diego. It didn’t work out, so we’re here vacationing on our lovely Oregon Coast, with weather abut 20+ degrees cooler than we would have enjoyed in So. Cal!
These are so gorgeous. I can feel the energy through my iPad!
Looks like a great time was had by all. Lots of happy, smiling faces.
That looks like such awesome fun! It’s so great to see everyone up on their feet –young and old, –and dancing away.
Gosh, that looks like loads of family fun! Great captures.
Wonderful series of joyous photos. My nephew works for the Navy on the Island.
Happy photos! 🙂
fun- thinking a few of the father/daughter ones would be precious at a wedding…..show the before and now – the wedding dance.
