Biking in Spring

Are you enjoying nature this spring? After the long, long winter, Michigan is green, so green. We chose the perfect time to visit last week. The weather (finally!) turned warmer, so my family hopped on bikes and basked in the sun. Where I live, in California, we didn’t have snow this winter, but our landscape isn’t nearly this verdant. What a treat to ride along the tree-lined path in farm country. All 10 of us wheeled along with pleasure.

We crossed a bridge and found a lovely lake.

Nature draws us in and entertains and dazzles. The adults noted the tranquility. The young ones spied minnows swimming.

Young and older, we all felt refreshed by our morning ride. Nature invigorates, colors life with beauty, provides a place to bond with family and friends.

I’ll long remember the freshness of spring in Michigan, and biking through it with people I love.
