Where have you been lately that’s been a happy place for you? Disneyland is one of my favorite places to spend a day. And it’s billed as the happiest place on earth. This was the driving force behind the design of this charming land.
When Walt Disney opened the park in the 1950s, he told the crowds his aim in designing it. “I think most of all what I want Disneyland to be a is a happy place where parents and children can have fun, together.” He and Mickey Mouse watch over Main Street today, waving to the throngs who thrill to the enchantment.
It’s common to run into a princess or Donald Duck or Buzz Lightyear. You just never know.
And you can dress up as Minnie Mouse or Snow White or Sleeping Beauty. You can pretend all you want. Imagine. A dream is a wish your heart makes here. Dreams are most welcome.
The unexpected is around every corner. Here’s Woody and Buzz in Legos.
And Mickey is always happy to greet you.
Sometimes it’s refreshing and revitalizing to shed reality in this little world. My husband snapped this photo of me meeting a Disney character. As you can see, I was one happy princess-for-a-day.
How about you? Have you been to a happy place lately that made you forget all your troubles? At least for a little while?

It’s the happiest place on Earth! :). I’ve never been to Disneyland…but I’ve been to Disneyworld MANY times! And they have that same statue of Walt and Mickey right in front of Cinderella’s castle. I love how you shot it in silhouette…beautiful. Seriously, I do not think I’ve been anywhere that does things as spectacularly as Disney does! Thanks for joining in at Song-ography, and I hope you have a magical day 🙂
I never went to Disney World until I was married. I was as happy as a little kid. 🙂 This post makes me smile.
Definitely a happy place. I was always at my happiest when my kids were happy.
PS: Excellent photos.
i just love that classic statue! I’ve never been to Disney – but I know so many people who have been made beyond happy from trips there!
Disney is a mixed bag of happy and tired – but mostly happy. We take our semi-annual pilgrimage there and over the course of the kids going from stroller size to adults, we have developed a systematic approach which has made this (Disney World) indeed a Happy place. Our daughter just went to Disney Tokyo as well as their Sea Disney; her goal is to hit Disney Land with her aunt and then Disney Paris.
a true happy place!! your images are just gorgeous….you look so joyfull!!
We were there in November and had a ball!
Certainly lots of smiles and laughter. How could anyone be unhappy there. Love your photos.
Certainly one of the happiest places! We love going every couple years. Love the first image! Great silhouette!
I have not been to Disneyland, but my husband went there 45 years ago. We are very big Disney fans and have been visiting Walt Disney World for most of our married lives. Except for those moments when little ones have had a lot of “happy” and not enough rest(which is sometimes bound to happen), it truly is one of the happiest places on earth!
That is definitely a place of happiness

It’s been many, many years since I visited Disneyland but I still recall it with fond memories. Loved seeing it again through your happy photos.
Went for the first time to Disneyland with my sons when they were little…what a magical and happy place!
Thanks for dropping by and visiting me! We had just been in San Diego the first week of March!! I will be sure to let you know if we go back!!
Looks very happy to me. Neither been to Disneyworld or Disneyland, but you never know… maybe one day… Love the last photo of the statue in front of the lit up castle.
