Sunshine Yellow

posted by Sharon May 13, 2014 22 Comments

Have you noticed that spring brings sunny days — and lots of sunshine-yellow flowers? I took a leisurely tour through the local nursery and noticed yellow popping up everywhere. Sometimes the blooms are in happy clumps.

Sometimes delicate little flowers hang out.

Before long, I started noticed yellowing centers perking up white flowers.

The orchids with yellow can be called striking.

Once again, I’m amazed at the endless variety we see in nature, even if we look for just one color.

How about you? Are you seeing yellow blooming around your neighborhood? I hope so — because you can’t help but be cheered by it!

Linking up with Texture Tuesday, Wednesday Around the World, and Sweet Shot Tuesdays. The first photo is edited with Kim Klassen’s texture Daisy. The theme this week at Texture Tuesday is “Yellow.”

I love your daisies for Sweet Shot Tuesday. Daisies have always been my favorite flower. I’ve always told my husband I’d rather he gather daisies from the side of the road than buy a dozen red roses for me. None of these flowers are in bloom yet where I live, so I am enjoying your lovely photos of what is to come in my area.

Today is my first entry in Sweet Shot Tuesday (Image #3 on the list.) Please stop by.

What a wonderful collection of yellow! The large daisy against the background of colorful flowers is my favorite – such a nice blurring of the the background will still conveying the color.

Sharon, I forgot to say how much the daisies look like my scentless chamomile – no wonder I love them so much!

Beautiful series of photos. My favorite is the one that is a close-up of the flower with the white petals and the orange center.
