Spring in Coronado

Presidio Park San Diego

Spring is popping out all over in Coronado, an island in the southern part of California. We meandered around the neighborhood on a sunny afternoon, looking for color and life. A rainbow of blooms greeted us on our walk.

Coronado is home to a navy base, and many active duty and retired military families live here. Thus, the nautical themes appear in little public parks.

As much as I love vibrant color, I also appreciate the pureness of white flowers.

Looking up, you find palm trees here.

The sun set on this fine spring day, spreading golden light.

How about you? How is this season looking where you live?

It’s been a beautiful spring in Atlanta, too. We’re warming up really quickly, tho.

Very pretty flowers. We always enjoy the visits we made to Coronado-fun to see how the other half lives.

Stunning blooms, Sharon! When we lived in Costa Mesa, we hung out a lot in San Diego, but have only been once to Coronado – not because it’s not beautiful, but it felt like a close knit community, and came there as a tourist:):)
Many thanks for being a part of SEASONS with this post! Love those rope containers too.Wishing you a happy week:)

That looks like summer to me!! Beautiful though. Today was the first warmer day for a long time, and I’ve started the “Garden 2016” project. I can’t wait to see flowers in bloom here too.

We’ve had summer temps off and on all spring this year, not our usual relentless rain. But, this winter we had record breaking rain and snow in the mountains. The flowers are gorgeous this year.

This building is as far away as you can get from El Centro and still be at Coronado Springs. On the bright side, it is close to the Ranchos quiet pool as well as the bus stop.
