Rest in Its Season

Let your rest be perfect in its season, like the rest of waters that are still.
                                                                             — Philip Gilbert Hamilton

This season, the summer’s end, shows us how to rest. A peaceful lake, the delicate tones of the blooms, a tree-bench that beckons us to sit and be still for a while.

We are planning a short get-away to celebrate the changing of the seasons, the coming of the fall. I’m thinking that into those 3 days we will pack a lot of time to rest. Read. Enjoy the quiet. Be still. Revel in nature and the groundedness of the pines. Trees are never in a hurry, are they?

How about you? Are you feeling the need for a time of rest?

Linking up with Texture Tuesday, Tuesday Muse, Sweet Shot Tuesdays, and Communal Global.

The photos are edited with Kim Klassen’s textures Cora and Empty Page. Photos were taken in September, 2011 at Sandwich on Cape Cod, a most peaceful place.

I love the reflection of the clouds in the water… so pretty.

Haha, a resounding YES! I desperately need some rest. We’ve been having house guests one after another and the last of them just left last night. It’s always fun to have family visit, but it does take its toll.

Oh yes, I love this time and it is perfect to rest.
This clear golden days … and particularly to Mabon around the weather is so harmonious and peaceful mostly sunny – for me it’s the most wonderful time of the summer / autumn and regain strength to get through the winter.
Also to collect impressions to harvest – I wrote it yesterday …
Have a great time!

Oh wow these are just so beautiful and restful. The tree bench and that fence just made me smile from the sheer loveliness of viewing them. Seems like many of us are on the same sort of wave length with out posts today.

All those photos are great, Sharon. Have a wonderful getaway. Sounds nice. We may get away over the holiday week-end. Since hubby is now sick, we’ve had plenty of rest, but thinking a getaway will do him some good.

Thank you for stopping by in my blog! You asked about my bracelet. I got this bracelet when I was about 12 years old so I’ve had that for a while… 😉 It is Finnish Kalevala Koru desing. They get their inspiration of the history of Finland and old jewelry, nature, etc.. My bracelet is called Little bird, just like my nickname here in Blogger – Pieni lintu, that’s little bird in English. 🙂
