Little Miracles

Miracles happen every day. Change your perception of what a miracle is and you’ll see them all around you.
— Jon Bon Jovi

We stopped in a small mountain town for lunch and a stroll. Right around the place we parked, I found this red berry bush, and other little wonders: a flower almost gone but still lovely, the thunder-cloud sky, the one lone clump of flowers left on a bush the last day of August.

Even on the main street lined with shops, wild flowers pop up anywhere. I love these raspberry-colored blooms growing in the sidewalk.

I think a few years back I would have missed these miracles. I’m trying to see with eyes wider open to what’s right around me, all around me.

How about you? What “miracles” have you noticed in your corner of the world?

Linking up with Texture Tuesday, Sweet Shot Tuesdays, and Communal Global.

The photos are edited with Kim Klassen’s textures kk-2303 and Felicity. Photos were taken in Idyllwild, California.

I’d say that photography as taught me to see, not just look. I notice more details now. I love all your glimpses of the end of August. It won’t be long before the world changes before out eyes…and lenses!

Jon Bon Jovi – go figure! Excellent quote and perfect illustrations of the fact. I notice so, so much more of the amazing world around me since getting back into photography – that combined with hitting a slightly slower stage in life.

Such lovely images! Photography has enhanced my appreciation for what’s around me but I’ve always enjoyed gazing at the clouds and stars, watching storms roll in, and taking time to “smell the roses” πŸ™‚

It’s amazing what you find when you use the camera as a third eye. I look long and carefully at everything now no matter how ugly it may appear at first.

And I enjoy have a permanent image of something beautiful I found that I might never get to see again, except on the captured shot. These are beautiful….clouds are wondrous in themselves.
