Hello, December

San Francisco cable car

The season of light and joy arrives! A road trip to San Francisco, city by the bay, brought us to one of my favorite places this weekend. We had a view of the tall Christmas tree in Union Square. Just look at those lights!

The city, always alight, is especially fun in December. We happened onto these giant tree ornaments laying around a plaza. These make you joyful, don’t they?

The cable cars clang clang up and down the hills, with their garland and twinkly lights.

Even the small lobby of our hotel brought festivity to our stay.

How about you? Do you have some favorite touches of light and joy where you are this season?

Linking up with Texture Tuesday, Wednesday Around the World, and Sweet Shot Tuesdays. The black and white photo is edited with Kim Klassen’s texture Storm.

You and I have a tendency to be the first to post on P52….and I’m not sure that I’ve been very good about commenting on your posts! However, these are fabulous images. That tree is captured so beautifully…and those giant ornaments….wow!

The huge Christmas tree ball are really nice – just a thin layer of snow on top of them is missing! But in San Francisco??? 😉

Hi Sharon … I’m visiting from ‘Sweet Shot Tuesday’, and your photos here of San Francisco are wonderful! I’ve always wanted to visit there, myself, even catch a ride on those cable cars. And what a view from above over Union Square! Love all those poinsettias, too! My son has been there and really enjoyed his visit, but it wasn’t at Christmas time. Thanks for sharing your view! 🙂

Oh my that is a truly fabulous tree in front of Macy’s. The only thing about Christmas that I actually like is the decorations

I love those giant ornaments. My favourite Christmas touch here is the natural one of the bright red Poinciana Tree in flower.
