Coronado Summer Concert

Summer Sunday afternoons in Coronado, California offer a free concert in the park for all ages to enjoy. A different band is on tap every week. Last week the San Diego Marine Band provided lively and patriotic music. Horns and drums and fifes filled the air while we all relaxed in camp chairs on the lawn.

Soldiers carried the flag while security folks kept an eye on the crowd. Then came a medley of military theme songs. Those who had served stood when the band started in on the theme song of their branch.

That part of the city I miss! We used to go to a free summer jazz festival (I think it was Fullerton) -such a treat wand relaxing. Love the tribute to the flag, especially in this time:) and the reflection on the wind instruments in the grass. Many thanks for sharing this with SEASONS – I love it. Have a great week!
