Bouquets of Beauty

What would a wedding be without flowers? Even in the simplest of ceremonies, the bride carries a bouquet. When the florist arrived with the flowers last week, she lined up the bouquets in the dressing room, ready for the ceremony.

Larger arrangements sat outside.

The flowers livened the whole look of the lovely bridesmaids.

Then the bouquets framed the sweetheart table during dinner.

We ended up taking home many of the flowers. The house smelled so good all week, like we were living in a florist shop. I had a chance to really see the flowers, in the calm after the whirlwind of the ceremony. I noticed the delicate dahlias.

The cafe au lait roses in pillows of hydrangea.

The clean white roses against delicate pinks.

I enjoyed these flowers and all the memories they hold. They added a fragrance and beauty to a wonderful day.

How about you? Do you have flowers around this week? Are spring blooms decorating your home yet?

Linking up with Texture Tuesday, Wednesday Around the World, and Sweet Shot Tuesdays. Photos are edited with Kim Klassen’s texture Rue Marion. The theme at Texture Tuesday is From Above — the angle of the bouquet photo . . .

They’re so pretty. Thanks for sharing and congratulations to the happy couple. I remember the fun of visiting the florist when my daughter married and picking out all the flowers. They make any scene beautiful, but wedding flowers are wonderful.
