Beach Blooms

posted by Sharon October 15, 2013 31 Comments

We went to see the ocean yesterday in the late afternoon sun. There’s something deeply soothing about gazing on water that stretches as far as you can see. The sound of the waves crashing over and over is somehow comforting.

And here’s the bonus. When you turn back from the water at this place, you find a rose garden. Who expects a rose garden at the beach? It’s lovely.

These blooms are behind the roses. I don’t know what they are, but they are certainly full of cheer.

We went to experience the beach. And we found blooms. This place is full of wonder.

Wishing you a bit of wonder this week!

Of course, roses would still be blooming near the beach…..inland near the mountains, the temperatures at night are in the 20’s already. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi Sharon, I really like the perspective of the first and last photos, showing people on the beach – the vastness of the scene is made apparent. Lucky you to see beauty whichever way you turn.

Sigh….What beauty you were surrounded by both from the beach and the gorgeous roses/flowers. Loved that you caught a runner in that first photo and loved the rays of sunlight in your last one.

I live on a tiny island in MA and there are roses everywhere. Roses and the beach is my very favorite combination of smells

Beautiful images. I agree – standing at the ocean edge is very soothing and peaceful and comforting. I don’t live far from the beach, and I sometimes go there on wild windy days when I want to time to reflect and the wind to blow my cares away.
and….what more beautiful garden flower is there than a rose – there is a rose for every occasion.
Have a wonderful week. I am joining you through Communal Global Tuesday.
